ABOUT ME
Filmmaker, Artist, and Educator
Will Kim is a Los Angeles-based artist, filmmaker, and animation educator at Riverside City College, where he directs the RCC Animation Program. He is a professional member of ASIFA-Hollywood, its Animation Educators Forum,
and a voting member for the Annie Awards.
Will Kim received an MFA ('09) in Animation from UCLA and a BFA ('07) in
Character Animation from Cal Arts. Kim’s work has selected and screened at renowned film festivals including AFI Dallas, Hiroshima Int. Animation Festival,
Animation Block Party, St. Louis Int. Film Festival.
Additionally, Will’s works showed at museums and concert halls including The Getty Center Auditorium, San Diego Comic-Con, Centre Pompidou Web Series,
and Museum of Photographic Arts San Diego.
Some of Kim’s works have aired and streamed on National and International TV including SBS (South Korea’s National Television Network), Japanese National Television Networks, TBS, PBS, Apple TV
and the United Nations Climate Change Conference.
As a freelance artist, Will has animated and illustrated for companies like
LA Chamber Orchestra, Vice Japan, Boston Lyrics Opera, Hallmark,
Ito-En, Mitsubishi Electronics, & Adidas.
As a guest lecturer/artist, Will has spoken at UCLA School of Film&TV,
Philadelphia Museum of Art, RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology), Cal Arts Extended Studies, Cal State University San Bernardino, Delaware College of Art and Design, Art Institute Hollywood, Riverside International Film Festival, OMICS Int, Conference on Computer Graphics and Animation among others.
